Condos have become an increasingly attractive option for people wanting vacation and investment property at the beach. There are several major advantages of condo ownership:

• Less Maintenance. Exterior maintenance and repairs are the responsibility of all the unit owners and are handled by a professional property management company.
• Insurance. Most complexes include insurance on the building and common property so that individual condo owners need only low cost renters insurance on the contents.
• Amenities. Condo complexes often have the advantage of recreational facilities including swimming pools, tennis courts, sun decks, private beach access, dock facilities and health clubs. Water and cable television are also often included in the POA dues.
• Economically Feasible. OIB property values have continued to increase steadily since 1979. In some years, we have experienced over 30% increase in prices. On the island, the price of an interior quarter acre home site is well over $400,000 and oceanfront home sites begin at over $1,000,000. Condos have increased at the same pace as detached homes and increase your buying power because similar square footage sells for 25-40% less.
